“After graduation from Nano Technology Program at VJU, I pursued research on cathode materials applicable for rechargeable batteries at Osaka University. In this seminar, I would like to present the fundamentals of first-principle density functional theory and how we employ the so-called theory to simulate nano-scale systems. The operation of a typical rechargeable battery and the electrochemical properties of the materials used for rechargeable batteries will be well discussed. I am also very pleased to have an opportunity to share how I adapt to a new life in Japan. I hope you can find something helpful for your research and your future plan from my presentation.”

That is sharings from Luong Huu Duc – Ph.D Candidate, Quantum Engineering Design, Osaka University.
