VJU Master Admission 2026
I. GENERAL INFORMATION

(*): Research-oriented training program.
- Eligibility and Admission Requirements
2.1. General Requirements
- Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Language proficiency: Level 3 or higher according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Framework or equivalent (see Appendix 1)
- Personal background: Clear record, not under criminal prosecution or disciplinary action above warning level
- Sufficient health to pursue studies.
2.2. Academic Background Requirements
- Graduated from a relevant or closely related major
- Applicants from other majors must complete prerequisite courses as required
2.3. Research Achievements
Applicants with research achievements will receive bonus points added to their cumulative GPA for admission consideration (see Appendix 7)
2.4. Other Requirements
- Degrees issued by foreign institutions must be officially recognized
- International applicants must provide proof of sufficient financial capacity

3.1. Application Process
Step 1: Apply online via the Postgraduate Admissions Portal: http://tssdh.vnu.edu.vn
Step 2: Submit scanned documents (.pdf or .doc) via email: admission@vju.ac.vn
Step 3: Submit 01 hard-copy dossier to the Admissions Office (Room 510, 5th Floor, My Dinh Campus, Luu Huu Phuoc Street, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi) or via EMS postal service
Step 4: Pay the application fee via bank transfer or in cash at the Admissions Office. (See Section 4)
3.2. Admission Schedule
(*): The supplementary round will only be organized if necessary and decided by the Admissions Committee.
3.3. Application Documents

- ID card / Passport Copy (notarized copy of both sides)
- Two 4×6 photos (taken within the last 6 months)
- Health certificate (within 6 months)
- Proof of application fee payment
- Bachelor’s degree certificate (notarized copy)
- Degree recognition certificate for foreign degrees (notarized copy)
- Bachelor’s academic transcript (notarized copy with translation if not in Vietnamese/English)
- Proof of English proficiency (Level 4/6 or equivalent)
- Proof of Japanese/Vietnamese proficiency (for MAS program)
- Financial proof (for international applicants – Form 2, Appendix 8)
- Research proposal (for MBA)
- Research plan (for MEE)
- Recommendation letter (optional)
- Evidence of talents or research achievements (optional)

4.1. Application Fee
- Direct Admission: 200,000 VND/application
- Admission via selection: 500,000 VND/round/application
(Applicants must pay immediately after successfully submitting the application)
4.2. Supplementary Courses Fee: Based on the number of required credits. (see Appendix 6). The detailed schedule for the supplementary courses will be announced by the University later.
4.3. Tuition Fees
- Vietnamese students: 92.000.000 VND/2 years
- International students: 110.000.000 VND/2 years

II. ADMISSION ORGANIZATION
- Selection Principles
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements stated in Section I, Article 2
- Selection is conducted from highest to lowest scores until quotas are filled
- After the application deadline, the Admissions Committee will evaluate the applications of candidates applying for direct admission and notify them of the results no later than one week before the admission round. Candidates who do not meet the requirements for direct admission may still apply in that admission round.
- Evaluation Criteria
Applicants are evaluated based on:
- Undergraduate academic performance
- Language proficiency (certificates, essays, interviews)
- Critical thinking ability and motivation;
- Research achievements (if any);
- Research proposal (for MBA, MEE);
Each program has its own specific scoring rubric based on the above criteria
Total score: 100 points (application + interview)
Minimum admission threshold: 60/100 points
- Interview process
- Eligible applicants will be invited for interviews
- Interviews are conducted in person at Vietnam Japan University – My Dinh Campus (Online interviews are only allowed for candidates residing at least 300 km away from the campus
- Language: mainly English (depending on program, may be Japanese or Vietnamese) \
- Area Studies (Japanese Studies): mainly Japanese
- Area Studies (Vietnamese Studies for foreign applicants): mainly Vietnamese
