Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

VJU invites applications for position of Lecturer in Faculty of Advanced Technology and Engineering (full time).

Required duties and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work as a Lecturer in Faculty of Advanced Technology and Engineering (FATE). She or he will teach, conduct research and provide specialized academic advice to students in that field. Some key required duties and responsibilities as follows:

1. Teaching: equivalent to 270 standard hours per year, in which at least 50% is direct onsite or online teaching hour.
2. Research: having research activities equivalent to 1000 working hour per year; and being first author/Corresponding author of at least 01 articles in WoS/SCOPUS journals per year.
3. Office hours for students (for advising students): 08 hours per week.
4. Involving in syllabus and curriculum adjustment of all subjects of FATE faculty.
5. Involving in attracting talented students, building relationship with enterprises, organizing international scientific conferences and developing VJU’s brand, and contribution to develop and maintain VJU as an international Centre of Excellence.
6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) and manager(s).

Qualifications:

1. Requirement for academic degree: Doctoral degree (PhD) in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Robotics and Automation, Semiconductor Technology, Semiconductor Materials, Integrated Circuit (IC) Design, Embedded Systems, Materials Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Nutrition and Health Science, Applied Mathematics,  Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Transportation Engineering …
2. Requirement for working experiences: 01 years of teaching/researching after PhD graduation.
3. Requirement for research fundraising experiences: 01 fundraising success.

(Please list out in your CV all funds you have successfully raised (year, funding organizations, and amount).

4. Requirement for publication: First author/Corresponding author of at least 02 articles in WoS/SCOPUS journals.

Recruitment process:

The review of applications and nominations will continue until the position is filled. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Evaluation Committee appointed by the Rector.

Successful candidate will be offered a 1- 2 year contract. Tenure-track or extension of the contract can be offered upon performances.
