The 1st International Conference on Innovation and Sustainability 2025 (ICIS2025) brought together more than 200 scholars from 8 countries, with nearly 90 research papers submitted. The conference took place at Vietnam Japan University (VJU), Hanoi, on October 12.
With a central focus on innovation and sustainable development in relation to the Environment and Climate Resilient Development in the era of artificial intelligence, ICIS2025 – jointly organized by Vietnam Japan University, Ritsumeikan University, and Ibaraki University – served as a rigorous platform for scholarly exchange on innovative practices that advance environmental sustainability, while also fostering opportunities for international collaboration in this vital field.
In the morning plenary session, three keynote speakers, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Vietnam national university, Prof. Dr. Hashimoto Seiji – Ritsumeikan University and Prof. Dr. Nobuo Mimura – Ibaraki University, shared innovative solutions for sustainable development through environmental protection, circular economy, and climate change adaptation in the era of global boiling.
