Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
As VNU’s member university, VJU can leverage upon VNU’s intrinsic advantages and resources. Required duties and responsibilities
- Implementing recruitment (preparation of job descriptions – TOR, notices and advertisements, interviews, offer letter and working/labour contract) and other related tasks.
- Implementing salary, allowance and benefits, pension and other related policies.
- Managing contractual employee records, HR database.
- Implementing internal/external training activities.
- Building management documents (regulations/ policies) related to HR that assigned.
- Preparing staff and lecturer appraisal process
- Prepare quarterly/annual progress reports to higher authorities such as Vietnam National University, Hanoi and relevant units as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Rectorate Board and supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters’ degree (graduation in developed countries is an advantage).
- Work experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years in relevant position.
- Well-known about regulations, policies related to higher education and human resources in Vietnam.
- Working experiences in education sector and familiar with Japanese academic working style are advantages
- Understanding of International regulations/processes is an advantage.
- Foreign language: Be fluent in spoken and written English (IELTS 5.5). Proficiency in Japanese will be considered an advantage.
- Preferred skills:
- Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Office.
- Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and make deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment and professional; problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and teamwork skills.
- Attitudes:
- High commitment to the deadline
- Honest, hard-working, meticulous, careful, highly responsible in work; ability to organize, arrange work and time.

Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package comprising of:
- Competitive monthly salary;
- Monthly meal allowances: 700,000 VND;
- Performance-based additional pay by VJU’s regulation

Recruitment process
