Objectives: Japan is one of the countries offering the most scholarships to Vietnamese students. The number of official scholarships granted by the Government of Japan (Monbukagakusho-MEXT scholarship) is awarded annually to Vietnamese students only behind the Australian government's ADS scholarship. In addition to the MEXT Scholarship, students who wish to study in Japan may also apply for other scholarships, such as JDS scholarships granted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), scholarships from the Association of Teachers (AIEJ), Asian Development Bank (ADB) scholarship, or scholarships from other universities, organizations and individuals. These scholarships can be either full scholarships or partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarships available, the amount of student support payments may range from 50,000 to 180,000 JPY per month. If you cannot find a scholarship before studying abroad, you still have many opportunities to receive scholarships after coming to Japan. The lecturer will provide some information about the various types of Japanese study scholarships as well as the main points to apply for scholarships. At the same time she will also share some life experiences in the early time in Japan of the lecturer herself.
