MoU Signing Ceremony between Vietnam Japan University and Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

On November 23rd, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam) and Vietnam-Japan University signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two sides on the training of human resources of high quality, service for international integration. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son emphasized that this event is an important development step in human resource training not only of central ministries but also in training Vietnamese local officials. This contributes significantly to the process of international integration of Vietnam.

The establishment of the Vietnam-Japan University (VJU) is a basic condition for local leaders in the whole country to work closely with Japanese partners in training human resources to meet the integration requirements of the locality.


On this occasion, Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed and thanked Japanese businesses for their support and cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially in organizing training courses. The Deputy Minister hoped that in the near future, Vietnam-Japan cooperation, especially between the Department of Foreign Affairs Provincial and VJU, would be strengthened with potential cooperation.


 

 

With a large network of well-known universities, businesses and organizations in Japan and Vietnam, VJU will be the bridge between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the provinces, prestigious institutions, universities in Japan to meet the needs of human resources training.


With the support of the two governments, VJU was born on the new university model, focusing on two main areas: high technology and interdisciplinary science.


Currently, VJU is implementing seven master's programs based on the curriculum transferred from the top Japanese universities including: Nanotechnology, Infrastructure Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Public Policy, Business Administration, Area Studies, Climate Change and Development.


In addition to its mission of training and providing quality human resources internationally, VJU has a mission to contribute to the development of Vietnamese education in general.
